Job summary

Newstar Agencies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Shipping Staff to handle logistics and inbound/outbound transshipment activities in Klang. The role involves acquiring space allocations from principals and updating container tracking systems, with timely declarations in port systems.

The ideal candidate should have at least a Diploma or higher, strong MS Office skills, and 2+ years in logistics. Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and English is required, with a preference for Mandarin speakers.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduated Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• At least 2 years of working experienced in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably junior Executive specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
• Full time position(s) available.

Responsibilities

• Handling logistics and in/outbound transshipment by trade/services.
• Acquire space allocations from the principals
• Execute timely transshipment container tracking system update
• Ensure timely declaration and nomination of transshipment containers in the terminal / port system
• Ensure timely nomination of transshipment containers in in-house system
• Liaise with principal, terminals, other liners and other overseas agents
• Coordinate closely with internal booking and trade department on space allocations.
• Acquire relevant approvals from authority e.g.: LPK
• Attending to transshipment queries
• Prepare and transmit daily, weekly and monthly reports accurately and in a timely manner
