Job summary

VAT Group AG in Malaysia (Penang/Batu Kawan) seeks a Warehouse Manager to lead daily warehouse operations and ensure safety and efficiency. You will drive material flow, KPI achievement, and inventory accuracy while coordinating with Planning, Production, Quality, Logistics, and Suppliers.

The role requires 2–5 years in warehousing, strong WMS/ERP/D365 knowledge, and experience in Lean, 6S, and Kaizen improvements. A fast-paced, manufacturing setting is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in a related field with relevant warehousing experience.
  • 2-5 years of warehouse/logistics experience, preferably in manufacturing or high-volume operation.
  • Experience leading warehouse teams and managing KPIs.
  • Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP/D365, inventory management, and material flow.
  • Experience in ramp-up, peak-volume, urgent/expedite operations is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain warehouse safety as the #1 priority and ensure compliance with MHE, SOP, 6S, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure daily warehouse activities meet targets for receiving, put-away, picking, kitting, staging, shipment, and material movement.
  • Drive end-to-end material flow and improve turnaround time from receiving to material-on-stage.
  • Own warehouse KPIs including Material on Stage by 7AM, daily shipment/volume target, inventory accuracy, productivity, TPT, and service level.
  • Plan manpower, shifts, overtime, equipment, storage capacity, and transportation according to business demand and ramp requirements.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy, cycle count discipline, reconciliation, and timely resolution of inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement, automation, layout optimization, and standard-work initiatives.
  • Work with Planning, Buyer, Production, Quality, Logistics, Customs, and Suppliers to ensure predictive material flow and execution.
  • Quickly identify operational risks, establish containment, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
  • Drive projects related to warehouse improvement, expansion, capacity improvement, automation and material flow improvement projects

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Process Improvement: Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement, automation, layout optimization, and standard-work initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Work closely with Planning, Buyer, Production, Quality, Logistics, Customs, and Suppliers to ensure predictive material flow and execution.
  • Escalation & Problem Solving: Quickly identify operational risks, establish containment, drive root-cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are completed.Leadership & Accountability: Set clear expectations for area owners and supervisors, review daily performance, and drive accountability for results.
  • Drive projects related to warehouse improvement, expansion , capacity improvement , automation and material flow improvement projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of warehouse/logistics experience, preferably in a manufacturing or high-volume operation.
  • Proven experience in warehouse leadership and people management.Strong knowledge of WMS, ERP/D365, inventory management, and material flow processes.
  • Experience managing warehouse KPIs, TPT, productivity, capacity, and manpower planning.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 6S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in ramp-up, peak-volume, and urgent/expedite operations is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • MHE/warehouse safety knowledge and relevant certification is an advantage.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment and drive results through cross-functional teams.
