Job summary

VAT Vakuumventile AG seeks an experienced Supply Chain Lead to own end-to-end supply chain activities for a product family, ensuring on-time delivery and margin targets.

You will be the single point of contact for order fulfilment across multiple stakeholders, coordinating procurement, production planning, and cross-functional programs across Switzerland, Malaysia, and Romania.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, International Management and/or Economics, or Business Admin
• Technical education and advanced education in procurement and supply chain management
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in developing industrial operations and strategic project purchasing
• Strong cross-functional management skills with stakeholder focus
• Excellent communication in English and collaborative team player
• Active participation in procurement process improvements and cross-divisional projects
• Experience coordinating multi-site procurement and production planning

Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Lead will fulfill a central key role in our company.
• Single point of contact on order fulfilment for mass pro and NPI, with stakeholders from Program Management, Design Engineering, Category Management, Purchasing, Key Account Management, Productions, Finance and Logistics.
• Manage procurement and production planning for a dedicated product line across VAT network (Switzerland, Malaysia and Romania).
• Lead a team of Supply Specialists and Order & Material Specialists for a dedicated Product Line.
• Responsible for KPIs such as OTDr/OTDc, backlog reduction, lead time reduction, and COGS reduction.
• Minimize SMI due to EOL or design changes.
• Coordinate with Program Managers and Key Account Managers on customer forecasts.
• Work with IE and Category Management to ensure capacity readiness for demand ramps.
• Suggest programs to shorten material lead times and minimize inventory (frame contracts, VMI, JIT).
• Collaborate with HQ PLSCM for knowledge exchange and standardization of planning processes.

Summary

Fully own the supply chain related activities for a product series that assigned under this position; including on time delivery to customers, meeting customers required LeadTime, avoid and eliminate order backlog, as well as managing the COGS to achieve reasonable contribution margin.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Supply Chain Lead will fulfill a central key role in our company.
• Single point of contact on matters related to order fulfillment, for both mass pro and NPI, with stakeholders from Program Management, Design Engineering, Category
• Management, Purchasing, Key Account Management, Productions, Finance and Logistics.
• Will manage the procurement and production planning of a dedicated product line in the VAT network - Switzerland, Malaysia and Romania.
• Will be leading (functional and disciplinary) a team of Supply Specialists and Order & Material Specialists for a dedicated Product Line.
• Will be responsible and accountable for important KPIs eg : customers OTDr & OTDc, Backlogs reduction, Leadtime reduction, COGS reduction.
• Will be responsible for minimizing SMI as a result of component EOL, design change by internal or external request.
• Coordinate with Program Managers and Key Account Managers on customers forecast verification.
• Work together with IE team and Category Management to prepare sufficient capacity internally and externally for any demand ramp.
• Work closely with Category Management to propose programs/ ideas to shorten material supply leadtime as well as minimizing inventory holding, eg : frame contract negotiations, VMI projects, JIT, etc
• Ensure close collaboration with HQ PLSCM team to encourage knowledge exchange, planning process standardization, as well as RACI standardization.
• University degree in Engineering, International Management and/or Economics, or Business Admin
• Technical education and advanced education in procurement and supply chain management
• Minimum 8 - 10 years of experience in developing industrial operations as well as tactical and strategic project purchasing
• Project and strong cross functional management skills with stakeholder management focus
• Can- do attitude and very good communication skills in English
• Results and customer orientated team player
• Collaboration with internal departments including leading global projects and meetings
• Active participation in the improvement of procurement processes and management of cross-divisional projects
