Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Import Coordinator to manage end-to-end import shipments (FCL/LCL) and coordinate with shipping lines, brokers, and customers in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The role requires at least 1 year in sea freight import operations, knowledge of import documentation, and proficiency with CargoWise CW1 and MS Office; strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for ensuring accurate cargo handling and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• 1 year minimum experience in sea freight import operations or related logistics.
• Knowledge of import documentation, customs clearance, and cargo release.
• Experience with CargoWise CW1 or similar freight systems preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced logistics environment.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate end-to-end Ocean Freight Import shipments (FCL & LCL).
• Monitor vessel arrivals and track shipment milestones.
• Handle Arrival Notices from shipping lines, co-loaders, and overseas offices.
• Update shipment information in CargoWise CW1 and other systems.
• Liaise with shipping lines, customs brokers, transporters, warehouses, overseas offices, and customers.
• Verify and manage key shipment documentation.
• Coordinate container release and cargo delivery arrangements.
• Monitor cargo movement from vessel arrival through customs clearance and final delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Dangerous Goods handling procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, damages, or cargo irregularities.
• Verify shipment costs, vendor invoices, and operational charges for billing accuracy.
• Support invoicing and payment collection activities.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and achieve customer service KPIs.
