Qualifications

• Experience managing owned fleet and third-party logistics providers.
• Strong analytical capabilities with transport planning, routing, and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end outbound transportation and distribution across multiple warehouse locations.
• Lead a team responsible for transport planning, administration, and logistics execution.
• Optimise fleet utilisation and transportation efficiency across company-owned vehicles and 3PLs.
• Monitor transportation costs, delivery performance, vehicle utilisation, and service levels.
• Coordinate with Sales, Sales Admin, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to ensure order fulfilment.
• Manage delivery scheduling, customer requirements, and trade return activities.
• Build relationships with logistics service providers and ensure service standards are met.
• Analyse logistics data and drive initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.

This role will focus on transport planning, fleet utilisation, delivery execution, third-party logistics management, and cross-functional stakeholder engagement to ensure service excellence across Malaysia.

Our client is a well-established multinational consumer goods manufacturer. With an extensive distribution network across Malaysia, they are seeking a Logistics Outbound Manager to strengthen transportation operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing outbound logistics operations, ensuring products are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage end-to-end outbound transportation and distribution activities across multiple warehouse locations.

• Analyse logistics performance data and develop initiatives to improve productivity, service levels, and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement projects relating to transportation planning, distribution processes, and cost optimisation.

Profile

The ideal candidate should possess:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in outbound logistics or transportation management within the FMCG industry.
• Strong understanding of modern trade distribution, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, distribution centres, and key retail customers.
• Experience managing both owned fleet and third-party logistics operations.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience in transport planning, truck utilisation, routing, and logistics cost optimisation.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, warehouse, and supply chain stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Stable career track record with clear progression within logistics or supply chain functions.
• Experience using ERP, warehouse management, transportation management, and reporting systems will be advantageous.
