Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Logistics Outbound Manager to lead transport operations for a multinational FMCG client in Malaysia, focusing on transport planning, fleet utilisation, and delivery execution.

The role requires building strong relationships with 3PLs, driving cost efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Warehouse, and Supply Chain to achieve service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related discipline.
• Proven experience in outbound logistics or transportation management within FMCG.
• Strong understanding of modern trade distribution, including hypermarkets and distribution centres.
• Experience managing owned fleet and third-party logistics providers.
• Strong analytical capabilities with transport planning, routing, and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end outbound transportation and distribution across multiple warehouse locations.
• Lead a team responsible for transport planning, administration, and logistics execution.
• Optimise fleet utilisation and transportation efficiency across company-owned vehicles and 3PLs.
• Monitor transportation costs, delivery performance, vehicle utilisation, and service levels.
• Coordinate with Sales, Sales Admin, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to ensure order fulfilment.
• Manage delivery scheduling, customer requirements, and trade return activities.
• Build relationships with logistics service providers and ensure service standards are met.
• Analyse logistics data and drive initiatives to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement projects in transportation planning and distribution.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety standards.
