Job summary

Waftech Sdn Bhd seeks a Logistics Executive in Bayan Lepas to manage transportation logs, inventory control, and shipping documentation. You will prepare documents for shipments, coordinate domestic and international moves, and ensure on-time delivery with vendors and carriers.

The role requires a degree in business or supply chain and strong interpersonal and negotiation skills. Knowledge of customs procedures is advantageous for this position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Admin or Supply Chain with minimum 2 years of experience.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Good understanding of Customs Act 1967.

Responsibilities

• Maintain logs of all transportation and goods/stock.
• Prepare logistics and goods for upper management with accuracy.
• Inventory control and quality management.
• Prepare, compile and submit documents for LMW for shipments.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments with vendors, customers and transporters to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping documentation including customs declarations.
• Process domestic shipments by verifying destination, route, rates, delivery times and dispatch.
• Correspond with customers about availability, shipment date and tracking data.
• Audit and process entries, schedules, spreadsheets and documentation for transport; follow up on shipments.
• Make shipping line space confirmations with freight forwarders.
• Confirm BOL and LC-cost accordance.

Job description

a) Responsible for maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods/stock.

b) Responsible for the preparation of appropriate and accurate logistics & goods/stock for upper management.

c) Inventory control and quality management.

d) Prepare, compile and submit documents pertaining to LMW for international and domestic shipment.

e) Coordinating domestic and international shipments to communicate with internal and external vendor/customers and transporter to ensure on-time delivery performance.

f) Ensure the quality and accuracy of shipping documentation including Customs Declaration, domestic and international are completed and maintained at all times.

g) Process domestics shipments by verifying destination, route, rates, delivery times, documentation and dispatching to carrier minimizing the cost.

h) Correspond with customers logistics regarding availability, shipment date and method, shipment tracking data and current status.

j) Audit and process entries, schedules, spreadsheets as well as documentation for transport continuously follow up on shipments to ensure no problem arise.

k) To make shipping line space confirmation with freight forwarder.

l) To confirm BOL and insurance as accordance to the LC requirement.

m) To verify forwarding and freight cost.

ORGANIZATIONAL KNOWLEDGE:

a) Strong interpersonal skills.

b) Skills in planning and coordinating, negotiation skills, Customer Service and Relation management.

c) Working experience in logistics over a period of years is an asset.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

a) Degree in Business Admin/Supply Chain Management or equivalent with min (2) years of working experience.

b) Good interpersonal communication skills.

c) Good understanding of Customs Act 1967.
