Job summary

Tanera Transport Sdn Bhd is seeking an entry-level Logistics Assistant in Malaysia to support shipping documentation and data entry. You will help prepare bills of lading, packing lists, invoices, and origin certificates, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

You will maintain shipment records in the logistics system, liaise with freight forwarders and internal teams, and ensure compliance with import/export rules. Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills are required, Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a diploma in Logistics, SCM, or Business Admin preferred.
• Entry-level position, suitable for recent graduates with interest in logistics and transportation.
• Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping with accuracy and detail.
• Familiarity with logistics and shipping documentation processes is a plus.
• Basic understanding of import/export procedures and customs regulations is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a significant asset.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in standard office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, review, and organization of all shipping and logistics documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Enter and maintain data related to shipments, inventory, and customs declarations into the logistics system with strict record-keeping.
• Support logistics team by liaising with internal departments and external partners to gather information and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations by verifying documentation meets customs and trade requirements.
• File and archive logistics documents, maintaining an organized archival system for audits.
• Communicate with team and stakeholders in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin to clarify requirements and updates.
• Perform quality checks on documentation to minimize errors and delays.
