Job summary

MTT Shipping Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam is seeking an experienced logistics supervisor/manager to oversee container operations, implement FIFO practices, and manage aging containers. You will lead a logistics team, coordinate off-hiring and repositioning, and support the Cargo Claim reporting process from the Shah Alam office.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in logistics or related fields, at least 5 years in logistics, and 2–3 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations.
• At least 2-3 years of managerial or supervisory experience leading logistics teams.
• Strong knowledge of transportation, operations, inventory control, and import/export processes.
• Good leadership, communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics/ERP systems.

Job description

Compile and distribute container long-staying inventory reports to all relevant agents.

Implement and monitor First-In-First-Out (FIFO) practices for container utilization.

Investigate and query the status of aging containers to ensure timely return or repositioning.

Manage special equipment and general container off-hiring, ensuring adherence to designated off-hire acceptance periods.

Empty Reposition arrangement for Port Klang Branch.

Ensure the container movement performed in timely manner.

To assist Logistic Manager in establishing and reporting to Cargo Claim Dept for any cargo claim from customers.

b. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:

Facilitate empty repo arrangements as required by principal office.

Monitor the vendor Statement of Account (SOA).

Verify invoices related to these services to ensure accuracy and optimize cost efficiency.

d. Free Utilization and Revenue Management:

Implement strategies to maximize free container utilization periods.

Requirements:
