Job summary

TE Connectivity Corporation in Malaysia’s Penang region seeks a Logistics Analyst to support movement of materials and finished goods. You will monitor logistics performance, assist import/export activities, and coordinate with external partners to improve lead times and service levels.

The role requires 3–5 years in logistics, strong Excel skills, and experience with SAP/WMS. You will work with internal teams and external carriers to ensure smooth shipments and accurate monthly reporting.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for providing analytical and operational support for the movement of materials and finished goods throughout the supply chain. This role monitors logistics performance, supports import and export activities, coordinates with external logistics partners, and identifies opportunities to improve lead times, service levels, and overall logistics efficiency.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly operational and financial reports, including key logistics performance metrics.
• Monitor carrier performance across the supply chain and address service-related issues to ensure expected service levels are maintained.
• Analyse logistics and process flow to track lead times by activity and identify opportunities for process improvement and lead-time reduction.
• Coordinate and manage ground, air, and/or ocean freight transportation to support supply chain requirements.
• Support warehousing and finished goods logistics activities to ensure smooth and timely product movement.
• Handle import and export shipments, including coordination of relevant shipping and customs requirements.
• Support customs-related activities and work closely with customs agents to ensure smooth shipment clearance.
• Prepare monthly operational and financial reports eg, Freight Accrual, including key logistics performance metrics.
• Handle logistics-related billing and documentation.
• Coordinate and communicate with external parties, including freight forwarders, customs agents, carriers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
• Proficiency in SAP and/or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve logistics and shipment-related issues.

What your background should look like

• Bachelor’s degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related function.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in shipment coordination, import/export processes, and customs procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to monitor logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
