Job summary

Ecolab is seeking a Supply Chain professional to oversee export/import operations, coordinating 3PLs, transportation, and customs to move containers from source plants to destinations while achieving delivery targets.

You will support material planning for finished products, manage inventory strategies, and drive cost efficiency through lead time reduction and cross‑functional analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in export/import and 3PL management.
  • Understanding and proper application of Incoterms (2020) in global transactions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve problems independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across management levels.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily CoE operations to ensure containers are delivered.
  • Provide status updates on shipped export/import containers to Planning.
  • Monitor demurrages with the distribution team.
  • Guide 3PLs on objectives and develop basic plans for development.
  • Audit 3PLs on records management.
  • Provide performance feedback to divisions and ensure supplier reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce lead time.
  • Participate in cost-loss analysis with divisions and Finance.
  • Communicate operations out of budget and execute cost reduction plans.
  • Ensure virtual warehouses have minimal inventories or conduct gap analyses of outages.
  • Control and monitor missing products and claims.
  • Participate in new initiatives or supply lanes.
  • Collaborate with divisions to provide logistics alternatives for sourcing.
  • Issue lead time forms for new initiatives or new supply lanes.

Job description

You will be managing the total export-to-import chain (Total Line Management Concept) for international markets. This includes coordinating all necessary logistics (3PLs management, transportation, customs agents, shipping companies, etc.) to move containers from source plants to destinations required by the business while fulfilling reliability and pre-defined delivery time. Support material planning activities (finished products) and inventory control strategies to achieve profitability in supply chain.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily CoE operations to ensure containers are delivered accordingly.
  • Provide information about the status of shipped export/import containers/trucks to Planning team.
  • Monitor demurrages with physical distribution team.
  • Provide guidance to 3PLs on objectives and measurements as well as develop basic plans for development.
  • Audit the 3PLs on records management.
  • Provide performance feedback to relevant divisions and control the reliability of suppliers through tool measurement.
  • Constantly look for opportunities to improve efficiency and drive the lead time reduction analysis.
  • Participate in cost loss analysis along with relevant divisions and Finance team.
  • Communicate operations out of budget and execute cost reduction plans and carrier allocation.
  • Ensure in-process measures are in line with agreements.
  • Ensure virtual warehouses have minimal inventories or with a clear gap analysis on outages.
  • Control and monitor missing products & process claims.
  • Participate in new initiatives plans and/or new supply lanes.
  • Work together with relevant divisions to provide logistics alternatives for new sourcing requirements.
  • Issue lead time forms for new initiatives or new supply lanes.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies/ Supply Chain Management or any other related course.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in export and import, and 3PL management
  • Understanding and proper application of Incoterms (2020) in global transactions
  • Strong analytical abilities to identify and resolve problems independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and able to interact with multiple levels of management, across functional and business areas.
  • High attention to detail, self-motivated and meticulous.
