Job summary

Kibing Group Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee local and international supply chains, cross-border transport, and vendor relationships. The role focuses on optimizing costs, ensuring shipments align with sales targets, and maintaining compliance with regulations.

You will lead a team of logistics coordinators, collaborate with multiple departments, and drive efficiency by monitoring KPIs, budgets, and performance of logistics service providers.

• Logistics Planning & Cost Control: Develop plans to control shipping costs and improve efficiency.
• Shipment & Transportation Management: Coordinate international freight forwarding and transport.
• Shipping Documentation & Compliance: Oversee documents, customs clearance, permits, and regs.
• Government Liaison: Coordinate with authorities to obtain permits and approvals.
• Supplier Management & Negotiation: Negotiate SLAs with overseas lines and 3PL providers.
• Team Leadership & KPI Management: Lead the team, assign tasks, set KPIs, monitor performance.
• Performance & Budget Monitoring: Track costs, schedules, delivery, and service quality.
• Cross-Department Coordination: Work with Sales, Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, etc.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee local and international supply chains, cross-border transport, import/export regulations, and multi-region vendor relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing logistics costs, ensuring shipment arrangements align with sales targets, managing logistics service providers, and ensuring compliance with relevant government regulations.

The ideal candidate must have prior experience in a logistics or freight forwarding company, strong knowledge of shipping operations, and proven leadership skills to manage logistics coordinators and drive operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:-

Logistics Planning & Cost Control: Develop logistics plans to control shipping costs and improve operational efficiency.

Shipment & Transportation Management: Plan and coordinate international freight forwarding, ocean/air/road transport, vessel chartering, and container management to meet sales and delivery schedules.

Shipping Documentation & Compliance: Oversee shipping documents, customs clearance, import/export permits, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Government Liaison: Coordinate with relevant authorities, including Royal Malaysian Customs, MIDA, MITI, MAQIS, DOE, and CIDB, to obtain necessary permits and approvals.

Supplier Management & Negotiation: Negotiate service level agreements (SLAs) with overseas shipping lines, freight forwarders, port authorities, and 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) providers

Team Leadership & KPI Management: Lead the Logistics team, assign responsibilities, set KPIs, and monitor team performance.

Performance & Budget Monitoring: Monitor logistics costs, shipment schedules, delivery performance, and service quality to ensure efficient operations.

Cross-Department Coordination: Work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Production, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure smooth shipment arrangements and on-time delivery.
