Job summary

YB Woodwork Industry (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Logistic Inspector to join on a full-time basis at our Simpang Renggam, Johor facility. The role focuses on ensuring goods meet strict quality requirements before dispatch and on receipt, supporting our manufacturing, transport and logistics operations.

The position requires experience in quality assurance/quality control within manufacturing or logistics, with attention to detail and ability to read drawings and use inspection tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in QA/QC or logistics inspection within manufacturing or logistics.
• Strong understanding of quality standards, procedures and documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to identify inconsistencies.
• Proficient with inspection tools and equipment and QA software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming/outgoing shipments to verify quality and condition.
• Conduct routine checks on packaging materials and labeling.
• Document discrepancies, damages or defects found during inspections.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain records.
• Collaborate with warehouse/logistics to rectify issues.
• Ensure correct storage and safe handling of products.
• Monitor loading of goods onto transport vehicles.
• Liaise with suppliers/customers on quality concerns.
• Perform audits of logistics procedures to identify improvements.
• Support QA procedures and best practices across logistics.

YB Woodwork Industry (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated Logistic Inspector to join our team on a full-time basis at our facility in Simpang Renggam, Johor. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of quality assurance and control throughout our logistics operations. As a Logistic Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all goods meet our stringent quality requirements before dispatch and upon receipt. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact our reputation and customer satisfaction in the manufacturing, transport and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments to verify product quality, quantity and condition against purchase orders and specifications
• Conduct routine quality checks on packaging materials, labelling and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards
• Identify and document any discrepancies, damages or defects found during inspections
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of all quality assessments
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to rectify any issues identified during inspections
• Ensure all products are stored correctly and handled according to established safety and quality protocols
• Monitor and verify that goods are loaded onto transport vehicles safely and securely
• Liaise with suppliers, customers and internal departments regarding quality concerns and resolutions
• Perform regular audits of logistics procedures to identify areas for improvement
• Support the implementation of quality assurance procedures and best practices across the logistics operation

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in quality assurance, quality control or logistics inspection within the manufacturing or transport sector
• Strong understanding of quality standards, procedures and documentation requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify inconsistencies and defects
• Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment, including measuring instruments and quality control software
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and inspection checklists
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills with ability to maintain accurate documentation
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Physical capability to stand, walk and lift for extended periods throughout the working day
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety
• Relevant certification in quality assurance or inspection (preferred but not essential)
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian safety and quality standards (an advantage)
