Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated QC Inspector to join the quality assurance team at Wah Seng Industry Sdn. Bhd. This is a full‑time position based in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. As a QC Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our manufacturing operations. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality specifications and regulatory requirements, directly supporting our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and testing of raw materials, components, and finished products against established quality standards and specifications
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate measuring instruments and testing equipment
• Document inspection results accurately, including any deviations or non‑conformances, and prepare detailed quality reports
• Identify defects and quality issues, and elevate them to the appropriate department for corrective action
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality procedures
• Collaborate with production teams to investigate quality concerns and implement preventative measures
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions taken
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest enhancements to quality processes
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and evidence of quality compliance

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a QC Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role within the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures
• Proficiency in using inspection and measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometres, gauges, and other precision instruments
• Familiarity with quality standards and certifications such as ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and deviations from specifications
• Excellent documentation and record‑keeping skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities to effectively collaborate with production and engineering teams
• Problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently whilst adhering to established procedures
• GCE O‑Level or equivalent qualification, with technical training or certification in quality assurance being advantageous
