Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Loadout Coordinator for an oil and gas Transportation and Installation project. The role focuses on site representation at fabrication yards, ensuring loadout positions comply with drawings and procedures, and verifying readiness activities for offshore sailaway.

You will witness critical operations, assess lifting paths, coordinate with marine/warranty stakeholders, and support safe offshore installation readiness in a high-pressure project environment.

Qualifications

  • Essential: Minimum 7 years of experience in oil and gas within Transportation and Installation scope.
  • Essential: Hands‑on experience coordinating and witnessing loadout activities involving jackets, topsides, modules, or large structures.
  • Essential: Experience interfacing with marine warranty surveyors, fabricators, and client representatives in high‑pressure project environments.
  • Essential: Strong technical capability in loadout coordination and witnessing, barge layout and ballasting verification, offshore installation readiness, risk identification, and punch listing.
  • Essential: Diploma in Industrial Engineering Management.
  • Desirable: Master in Business Management.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the company site representative at the fabrication yard, ensuring loadout positions align with approved drawings and procedures.
  • Monitor compliance with the approved Loadout Coordination Manual and verify readiness activities per documented requirements.
  • Witness critical loadout operations including major lifting, skidding, weighing, seafastening, and barge sailaway preparation.
  • Verify lifting and rigging arrangements, ensuring wires, slings, shackles, and components are correctly tagged, installed, and positioned.
  • Assess structure clearances and lifting paths, identifying potential interferences that could affect safe lifting and offshore installation.
  • Ensure trial-fit activities reflect offshore operating conditions and intended installation methodology.
  • Verify barge ballast patterns against approved transportation studies, confirming centre of gravity, trim, and stability within design limits.
  • Coordinate with marine and logistics focal points, client representatives, marine warranty surveyors, and fabricators to support sailout readiness.
  • Identify non-conformities and issue site punch list items where work does not comply with procedures or may create offshore risk.
  • Provide technical advisory support at site to help resolve issues based on actual conditions and constructability considerations.
  • Validate offshore readiness before sailaway, ensuring preparation works are complete and acceptable for barge departure.

Loadout Coordinator Position Overview

This opportunity is suited to a technically strong professional with proven Transportation and Installation experience in the oil and gas sector. The Loadout Coordinator will act as the company’s technical verifier and site representative, supporting critical loadout and offshore readiness activities in line with approved procedures. This position offers the chance to play a key role in safety, quality, constructability, and operational readiness on a high-value project. The Loadout Coordinator will be central to ensuring technical compliance and reducing offshore execution risk.


Role Context

This role sits within an oil and gas project environment focused on Transportation and Installation scope. The working environment involves site-based coordination at a fabrication yard, supporting loadout operations and sailaway readiness for offshore activities. The position interfaces with project teams, marine and logistics personnel, client representatives, marine warranty surveyors, and fabricators during a critical project phase.
