Job summary

Qualifications

  • Essential: Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, management, or related discipline.
  • Essential: 10+ years in procurement, package management, subcontracting, expediting, logistics or supply chain in oil & gas, offshore, marine, or energy.
  • Essential: 5+ years in EPC/EPCIC project execution, preferably FPSO or offshore facilities.
  • Essential: Proven experience managing long lead item packages with vendor coordination, scheduling, documentation control, inspection and delivery.
  • Essential: Strong procurement, expediting, vendor management, logistics and package delivery knowledge for large offshore projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned long lead item packages from quotation through award, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, delivery and close-out.
  • Serve as main contact for assigned vendors after PO award and maintain clear communication during execution.
  • Track package progress across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, shipment, delivery and final documentation.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, project controls, construction, quality, logistics, and commissioning teams to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor risks, delays and performance issues; support mitigation and recovery actions.
  • Ensure delivered equipment and documentation meet technical, quality, inspection, testing and project requirements.
  • Lead or participate in vendor meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution to support performance and delivery.
  • Report progress against delivery dates and flag deviations impacting the FPSO project schedule.

This opportunity is for a Package Manager (LLI) to support the delivery of long lead item procurement packages on a major FPSO project. The Package Manager (LLI) will play a key role in managing package execution across engineering, manufacturing, inspection, logistics, delivery, and close-out activities. This position offers exposure to complex offshore project work with broad stakeholder interaction and significant impact on project schedule, quality, and delivery outcomes. The Package Manager (LLI) is well suited to candidates with strong package management, vendor coordination, and offshore project execution experience.

Role Context

This role sits within the oil and gas sector and supports the engineering and delivery of floating offshore facilities. The Package Manager (LLI) will work within a major FPSO project environment involving multidisciplinary coordination across procurement, engineering, construction, quality, logistics, commissioning, and related project functions. The position operates in a technically demanding setting with multiple interfaces across vendors, fabrication locations, and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage assigned long lead item packages across the full lifecycle, from quotation and evaluation through award, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, delivery, and close-out.
  • Act as the main point of contact for assigned vendors after purchase order award and maintain clear communication throughout package execution.
  • Track package progress across engineering deliverables, procurement activities, manufacturing, testing, shipment, delivery, and final documentation.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, project controls, construction, quality, logistics, and commissioning teams to support timely package delivery.
  • Monitor package risks, delays, and performance issues, supporting mitigation and recovery actions where required.
  • Ensure delivered equipment and documentation meet technical, quality, inspection, testing, and project requirements.
  • Lead or attend vendor meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution discussions to support package performance and delivery.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Essential: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or a related discipline.
  • Essential: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, package management, subcontracting, expediting, logistics, or supply chain management within the oil and gas, offshore, marine, or energy industry.
  • Essential: Minimum 5 years of experience in EPC or EPCIC project execution, preferably involving FPSO, offshore facilities, marine systems, topside modules, or similar large-scale capital projects.
  • Essential: Proven experience managing long lead item or critical equipment packages, including vendor coordination, schedule tracking, documentation control, inspection, testing, logistics, delivery, and close-out.
  • Essential: Strong understanding of procurement, expediting, vendor management, logistics, and package delivery for major offshore or FPSO projects.
  • Essential: Good understanding of FPSO project execution, including engineering deliverables, fabrication requirements, vendor documentation, inspection and test plans, integration, commissioning, and operations readiness interfaces.
  • Essential: Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, decision-making, communication, and commercial awareness.
  • Desirable: Professional certification in procurement, supply chain, project management, or contract management.
