Altera in Penang, Malaysia seeks an IT & Audio Visual Support Specialist to maintain AV infrastructure, support live meetings, and ensure seamless user experiences across conference rooms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Audiovisual Technology or related field.
• 3+ years of experience supporting audiovisual systems or workplace technology.
• Hands-on experience with conferencing platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of AV signal flow, distribution, and troubleshooting methods.
• Experience with AV control systems (Crestron, Teams Room) or similar.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide Tier 2/3 support for audiovisual systems and workplace collaboration tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated AV issues quickly to minimize disruptions.
• Install, configure, and maintain conference room technologies (displays, projectors, video systems, mics, speakers, controls).
• Support and administer AV platforms such as Crestron, Logitech, and Teams Rooms.
• Perform routine testing, preventive maintenance, and firmware updates on AV equipment.
• Assist end users with conference room setup, meeting support, and live event needs.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to audio, video, control, networking, and room scheduling.
• Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and vendors on AV deployments and integrations.
• Participate in AV infrastructure projects, room builds, and technology refreshes.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and SOPs; monitor system performance and suggest improvements.
