Job summary

Geethan Ram is seeking a diligent Advocate & Solicitor to join its Litigation Department in Petaling Jaya. The candidate will manage civil and criminal matters, appear in court, and provide high-quality legal services with minimal supervision.

Requirements include qualification as Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya, 1–2 PQE in litigation or exceptional new call, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency. Personal injury experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Qualified Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
• 1–2 years PQE in litigation, or newly called with strong potential.
• Experience in personal injury matters is advantageous.
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent, driven, and career-minded Advocate & Solicitor to join our expanding Litigation Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of civil and criminal litigation matters. The successful candidate will be expected to manage files independently, appear in court, and deliver high-quality legal services under minimal supervision.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Professional Status: Qualified Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.
• Experience: 1 to 2 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in litigation. Newly called lawyers who demonstrate exceptional potential and a strong work ethic are also encouraged to apply.
• Core Competencies: Prior experience handling personal injury matters will be highly regarded and considered a distinct advantage.
• Language Proficiency: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Attributes: Highly organized, accountable, resilient under pressure, and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
• Mobility: Must possess own transport and a valid driving license for court attendances and out-of-office assignments.
