Job summary

Marriott International in IOI Resort City, Sepang Utara, Selangor, Malaysia, is seeking a Non-Management Full-Time kitchen team member to prepare meals, regulate oven temperatures, and ensure proper portions, presentation, and garnish.

You will monitor food quality, maintain logs, coordinate with the Chef and staff during busy periods, and assist in hiring, training, and motivating teammates, while following safety policies and safeguarding company assets.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and ensure proper portions and garnish.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; maintain food logs.
• Inform staff of menu specials and out-of-stock items; communicate needs during peak times.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and motivating employees.
• Follow safety policies and protect company assets; maintain professional appearance.
