Holiday Inn & Suites Penang Prai is seeking a proactive kitchen crew member to prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards, with attention to portion control, quality, and presentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, following HACCP and food safety procedures, checking ingredient freshness, assisting with receiving and storage, minimizing waste, and supporting the kitchen team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared with proper portion control and quality.
• Prepare ingredients such as meat, seafood, vegetables, sauces, and other food items.
• Ensure food is cooked and stored at the correct temperature.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, workstations, and equipment.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times.
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and proper rotation of food supplies.
• Minimize food wastage and ensure proper use of ingredients.
• Assist other kitchen team members when required.
• Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are properly cleaned and maintained.
• Report any equipment issues, food quality concerns, or shortages to the Chef.
• Follow hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Management.
