Job summary

Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd (Retail) seeks a kitchen team member to master basic cooking methods and prepare fresh ingredients daily, aligned with menu and SOPs. You will ensure proper storage, cleanliness, and food safety across the kitchen, while embracing teamwork and adapting to feedback to improve methods.

The role involves operating kitchen equipment safely and performing additional duties as assigned by senior chefs, with a focus on consistent quality in a fast-paced F&B

Qualifications

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/sop needed for the station daily.
• Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observe safety precautions when handling them.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Candidate must possess at least SPM/Diploma in related field.
• At least have 1 Year experience in same job role in F&B industry.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/sop needed for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Improving your food preparation methods based on feedback.
• To perform overall cleaning duty of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
• To always maintain food safety standard.
• Be familiar with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and observe safety precautions when handling them.
• To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
