Job summary

Oriental Coffee International Sdn Bhd (Retail) is seeking a kitchen crew member to assist with basic cooking, food prep, and storage duties. You will ensure cleanliness, safety, and adherence to SOPs while supporting the Head Chef and Chef De Partie. Weekend and shift work are required, with opportunities for training and rewards.

Candidate should have SPM or Diploma, at least 1 year in F&B, and a strong team spirit with attention to detail to deliver quality dishes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least SPM/Diploma in related field.
• At least 1 year experience in F&B industry.
• Good team player able to work independently.
• Able to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts.
• Be able to follow directions from Head Chef and maintain consistent food preparation.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality dishes.
• Adaptability and ability to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Master all basic cooking methods like cutting of ingredients.
• Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to menu/SOP required for the station daily.
• Responsible for proper storage of food preparation and storage area.
• Improve food preparation methods based on feedback.
• Perform overall cleaning duties of the kitchen area, all crockery and equipment.
• Maintain food safety standards at all times.
• Be familiar with and operate all electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment; observe safety precautions.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by Head Chef & Chef De Partie.
• Ability to work in a team.
