Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an entry-level kitchen assistant in Subang Jaya. The role welcomes fresh graduates and candidates with basic cooking knowledge. Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication, willingness to learn, and a team-oriented attitude are essential.

Responsibilities include assisting in food prep, receiving deliveries, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting chefs during service. Training will be provided; safety and hygiene compliance is required.

Qualifications

Responsibility

This entry-level position will involve assisting in the preparation and maintenance of food services. Ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and maintain the cleanliness and food safety standard

• Assist chefs with food preparation, including washing, peeling or chopping.

• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.

• Empty garbage bins and dispose of waste properly.

• Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently according to the Senior Chef’s instructions.

• Ensure food is prepared to a high standard in terms of presentations, taste and quality.

• Assist with the setup, operations and cleaning of kitchen equipment and work area after each use.

• Always maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstations and storage area,

• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations strictly, ensuring a clean, safe kitchen environment.
