Job summary

SNOW VALLEY ENTERPRISE in Shah Alam invites a motivated kitchen helper to assist chefs with ingredient prep, washing, and measuring according to recipes.

You will maintain a clean work area, follow hygiene standards, and collaborate with colleagues during peak service while learning new kitchen procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately for food preparation.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new kitchen procedures and techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work station, adhering to strict kitchen sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen colleagues.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene principles to ensure safe food handling.
• Punctual and reliable with good time management skills to meet service demands.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and performing tasks such as lifting and carrying ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs and cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items according to recipes and established standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by performing regular cleaning duties such as sanitizing countertops, equipment, and utensils, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, stoves, fryers, and mixers, following all safety guidelines.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils using dishwashing machines or by hand, ensuring they are clean and ready for reuse.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages or low stock to the supervisor to facilitate timely reordering.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature control, to prevent contamination and ensure food quality.
• Support the kitchen team during peak service hours by expediting orders, plating dishes, and assisting with other tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.
