Job summary

Laoxiangji Dining Malaysia is hiring for a kitchen role in Kuala Lumpur. The position requires willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, with a starting date in October 2026.

Fresh graduates with a strong learning attitude are welcomed alongside those with prior kitchen experience. Ideal candidates will be Malaysian citizens who can communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with Mandarin ability considered an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an advantage; fresh graduates with strong learning attitude are welcome to apply.
  • Passion for food and a strong desire to learn authentic cuisine preparation (Food from China).
  • Able to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and English; ability to speak Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Willing to work on shifts, weekends, and public holidays (including rotation off days).
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours (8-hour shift).
  • Positive attitude, team player, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Start Date: October 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and portioning according to recipes and food safety standards.
  • Assist in cooking and assembling menu items, following recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace, including equipment, floors, and food preparation areas.
  • Adhere strictly to Halal and food safety regulations at all times.
  • Handle, store, label, and rotate all products properly to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance issues to the manager.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service during peak hours.
