Job summary

Ocean Kinabalu Sdn Bhd is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to support project activities in SOGT, Sabah. The role focuses on supervising lifting operations, ensuring safety, and coordinating with riggers and operators on site.

Applicants should have a minimum of SPM or equivalent, 3–5 years lifting experience, and hold active certifications (Lifting Supervisor, OGSP, PTW Level 1) with valid medical clearance. Strong leadership and HSE compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or relevant certificate or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of lifting operations experience, preferably in oil & gas or heavy industrial projects.
• Valid Lifting Supervisor certification recognized by the Malaysian authority (e.g. DOSH/CIDB), where applicable.
• Valid OGSP.
• Valid medical certificate.
• Valid PTW Level 1.
• Good knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, equipment and plans.
• Able to understand and implement risk assessments and HSE requirements.
• Good leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate lifting activities at site.
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out safely and according to the approved lifting plan.
• Coordinate with riggers, operators and other site personnel during lifting activities.
• Check lifting equipment and rigging arrangements before work starts.
• Ensure applicable HSE and lifting requirements are followed at site.
