Job summary

Ocean Vantage Engineering Sdn. Bhd. seeks an experienced Heavy Lifting Supervisor to plan, supervise, and coordinate lifting and hoisting activities at operational sites. The role ensures equipment readiness and compliance with regulatory and site requirements.

The successful candidate will review lifting plans and risk assessments, inspect equipment, verify records, and coordinate with crane operators and other teams to maintain safe lifting operations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Certified Lifting Supervisor certification required.
• Minimum 3 years as Lifting Supervisor or similar lifting/hoisting role.
• Practical experience in supervising heavy lifting and hoisting operations.
• Good knowledge of lifting plans, equipment, accessories, and safe lifting practices.
• Ability to review lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and related technical documentation.
• Understanding of applicable lifting regulations, standards, and site safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple lifting activities and coordinate different work teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate lifting and hoisting operations at site.
• Review lifting plans, risk assessments, method statements, and lifting procedures before work execution.
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out per approved plans and safety requirements.
• Inspect lifting equipment, accessories, and related equipment for readiness and safe condition.
• Verify lifting equipment and accessories have valid inspection and certification records.
• Coordinate with crane operators, riggers, signalmen, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel.
• Monitor lifting operations and ensure proper techniques, exclusion zones, and control measures.
• Identify lifting hazards and implement risk control measures.
