• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on the job site.
• Ensure all lifting equipment is certified, inspected, and suitable for the intended task.
• Prepare and review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings with lifting teams.
• Monitor lifting crew to ensure safe practices.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards during lifting operations.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to lifting operations.
• Report and investigate incidents involving lifting activities.

Job description

Responsible for overseeing the set-up, maintenance and safe and efficient operations of the lifting equipment. He/She is responsible for co‑ordinating and supervising all lifting activities in accordance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all lifting operations on the job site.
• Ensure all lifting equipment is certified, inspected, and suitable for the intended task.
• Prepare and review lifting plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and pre‑lift briefings with lifting teams.
• Monitor lifting crew (crane operators, riggers, and signalmen) to ensure safe practices.
• Ensure all lifting activities comply with health and safety regulations (e.g., LOLER, OSHA).
• Identify and mitigate potential hazards before and during lifting operations.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, and subcontractors regarding lifting needs and schedules.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to lifting operations and equipment.
• Report and investigate incidents or near‑mises involving lifting activities.
