Job summary

Sutera Satu Enterprise Sdn Bhd is seeking a competent Lifting Supervisor to oversee lifting activities at project sites in Malaysia, ensuring operations comply with approved lifting plans, procedures and safety requirements.

The role involves supervising daily lifting operations, coordinating with crane operators and project teams, performing pre-lift checks, and maintaining records, with emphasis on exclusion zones and safe working practices.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Lifting Supervisor competency certificate recognised in Malaysia.
• Experience in construction, heavy lifting, or related industries.
• Rail/MRT/LRT project exposure is a plus.
• Familiar with lifting plans and equipment safety practices.
• Strong site safety knowledge and incident reporting.

• Ensure activities follow lifting plans and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with crane operators, lifting team, Site Supervisor and project team.
• Conduct pre-lifting checks and ensure equipment is in good condition.

• Maintain lifting records, checklists and reports.
• Immediately stop lifting activities when unsafe conditions are identified.

Job description

We are looking for a competent and experienced Lifting Supervisor to oversee and supervise lifting activities at project sites, ensuring all lifting operations are carried out safely and in accordance with approved lifting plans, procedures and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily lifting operations at site
• Ensure lifting activities are carried out according to approved lifting plans, method statements and safety procedures
• Coordinate with crane operators, lifting team, Site Supervisor and project team
• Conduct pre-lifting checks and ensure lifting equipment and accessories are suitable and in good condition
• Monitor lifting activities and ensure proper exclusion zones and safe working practices are maintained
• Maintain lifting-related records, checklists and reports
• Immediately stop lifting activities where unsafe conditions or non-compliance are identified

About you

• Must possess a valid Lifting Supervisor competency/certificate recognised in Malaysia
• Relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, heavy lifting or related industries
• Experience in the rail industry, MRT/LRT projects or railway infrastructure will be a key advantage
• Familiar with lifting plans, lifting equipment, lifting accessories and safe lifting practices
• Good knowledge of site safety requirements and lifting operations
