Job summary

Acre Works Sdn Bhd is seeking a Lifting Supervisor to oversee on-site lifting operations in Malaysia. You will ensure safety, proper rigging, crane setup, and compliance with approved lifting plans and HSE requirements.

Reporting to the project team, you will verify equipment is inspected and fit for use, conduct pre-lift briefings, manage lifting personnel, and coordinate activities with subcontractors and HSE personnel to prevent incidents and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction, or related field.
• Certification in lifting supervision, rigging/slinging, or lifting operations.
• 3–5 years of lifting supervision experience in construction or infra projects.
• Knowledge of crane operations, SWL/WLL, rigging, and lifting safety.
• Understanding of HIRARC, Permit-to-Work, and lifting procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain accurate lifting records.
• Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper crane setup, rigging, slinging, signalling, and load handling.

Verify cranes, lifting equipment, and accessories are inspected, certified, and fit for use.

Conduct pre-lift briefings and ensure lifting personnel are competent and authorized.

Identify lifting hazards and implement appropriate risk control measures.

Coordinate lifting activities with project teams, subcontractors, and HSE personnel.

Monitor critical and high-risk lifting operations and stop unsafe activities when necessary.

Maintain lifting records, inspection reports, equipment registers, and relevant documentation.

Report lifting incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions, and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with DOSH/JKKP requirements, company procedures, and project safety standards.

Requirements

Diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.

Relevant certification in lifting supervision, rigging and slinging, or lifting operations.

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in lifting supervision within construction or infrastructure projects.

Good knowledge of crane operations, lifting equipment, SWL/WLL, rigging practices, and lifting safety.

Understanding of HIRARC, Permit-to-Work, and lifting procedures.

Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work under pressure and maintain accurate lifting documentation.
