Job summary

Taylor Root is hiring a full‑time Legal Counsel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to provide commercial and corporate legal advice across contracts, disputes, governance, insurance, and regulatory matters.

You will bring 5–10 years of post‑qualification experience, be qualified in Malaysia or another common‑law jurisdiction, and have strong contract drafting and negotiation skills. In‑house experience is preferred, with exposure to global trade, data privacy, and compliance matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with 5‑10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Qualified in Malaysia or another common‑law jurisdiction.
• Strong corporate and commercial law experience, especially contract drafting and negotiation.
• In‑house legal experience preferred.
• Exposure to global trade, export controls, sanctions, data privacy, employment, competition, and anti‑bribery & corruption matters.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with senior management.
