Job summary

EXIS TECH SDN BHD is seeking a diligent legal support professional to assist with reviewing and maintaining contracts, corporate records, and compliance matters. You will coordinate with external solicitors and internal departments to ensure timely handling of legal documents and deadlines.

The role requires a law-related degree and 1–3 years of experience, with fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. A 5-day work week with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Law or related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in legal, contract management, in-house legal support or law firm environment.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of Malaysian laws, contracts and legal documentation.
• Strong communication, research, analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing, preparing and maintaining contracts, agreements, letters and other legal documents.
• Assist in coordinating with external solicitors, legal advisors and other professional parties on legal matters.
• Maintain and organize the company’s legal documents, contracts and corporate records.
• Monitor contract validity, renewal dates, expiry dates and other important legal deadlines.
• Assist in reviewing contracts and identifying key terms, obligations, risks and areas requiring management or legal counsel’s attention.
• Prepare summaries and reports of legal documents and contractual matters for management review.
• Assist with Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), employment-related documents, supplier/customer agreements and other commercial agreements.
• Support the company in handling legal correspondence, notices and documentation.
• Assist with company secretarial and corporate compliance matters where required.
• Conduct basic legal research on relevant Malaysian laws, regulations and guidelines when required.
• Liaise with internal departments to obtain information and documents required for legal matters.
• Maintain a proper contract/legal document tracking system and ensure documents are properly filed and accessible.
• Assist in coordinating with government authorities, regulatory bodies and external professional advisors when required.
• Support management and HR on employment-related legal documentation and other matters.
• Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned by management.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Fluent in Mandarin/Chinese, both written and spoken, is mandatory to communicate with China-based colleagues, suppliers and business partners.

Strong communication, research, analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.

Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with different departments.
