Job summary

Exis Tech Sdn Bhd is a Malaysia-based engineering company that designs and manufactures industrial automation solutions, including backend test handlers for semiconductor and customized OEM/ODM automation projects.

The Electrical Engineer will liaise with clients to define electrical improvement requirements, analyze issues, and coordinate fixes during manufacturing and debugging while creating practical design rules and manuals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical design for non-standard automation equipment.
• Willingness to travel for short- to medium-term assignments.
• Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage for communication with China.

Job description

Liaise with clients on technical improvement requirements and solutions related to the electrical aspects of equipment.

Analyze electrical issues reported by the after-sales technical department and identify root causes.

Coordinate and handle electrical issues arising during the manufacturing and debugging process in the workshop.

Develop design rules, troubleshooting manuals, and other technical documentation based on client feedback and solution development.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronic Information Engineering, Mechanical Design & Automation, or related fields.

At least 2 years of experience in electrical design for non-standard automation equipment. Fresh graduate with initiative & proactive attitude is encouraged to apply.

Ability to select electrical components, perform electrical wiring, and design electrical control cabinets.

Proficient in using professional electrical design software to create electrical schematics.

Knowledge of servo motors, stepper motors, and temperature control system applications.

Ability to independently troubleshoot common electrical faults and electromagnetic interference (EMI) issues.

Basic knowledge of bus communication systems such as RS485, CAN, and EtherCAT.

Able to work under pressure and communicate effectively.

Willing to travel as required, including short- to medium-term business trips.

Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage (for communication with China).
