Job summary

Smart Legacy Sdn Bhd is seeking a Leasing / Business Development Executive to drive tenant acquisition and growth across our 14 F&B outlets in Klang Valley and Johor Bahru. You will own the leasing process from outreach to renewals and build a robust pipeline of brand partners.

The role demands a degree in business-related field, at least 3 years in leasing or B2B sales in F&B/retail, and strong negotiation, communication, and commercial acumen.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Marketing, Property or related field.
• At least 3 years in leasing, business development or B2B sales within F&B/retail.
• Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
• Solid commercial insight and understanding of retail/F&B operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to work independently across multiple outlets.
• Willingness to travel within Klang Valley and Johor Bahru; owns transport.
• Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Chinese.

• Sourcing Opportunities:Discover and engage with potential F&B brands to expand our tenant mix.
• Managing Leases:Oversee the leasing process from initiation to completion, ensuring smooth transitions and renewals.
• Building Relationships:Cultivate a robust pipeline of F&B partners to foster growth and diversity in our outlets.
• Negotiating Deals:Lead negotiations with potential and existing tenants, securing agreements that benefit both parties.
• Optimising Performance:Strategize tenant mix to enhance footfall and boost sales across all locations.
• Collaborating with Operations:Work closely with the operations team to facilitate tenant onboarding and outlet setup.
• Monitoring Success:Track tenant performance and proactively address any challenges to maintain high occupancy rates.
• Conducting Research:Stay ahead of the curve by researching market trends, competitor activities, and rental benchmarks.

Who are they looking for?

• Educational Background:A degree in Business, Marketing, Property, or a related field, equipping you with the knowledge to excel in leasing and business development.
• Experience Required:Minimum 3 years in leasing, business development, or B2B sales within the F&B or retail sector, with a preference for F&B experience.
