Job summary

Lumileds International is seeking an Equipment Engineer to initiate and lead equipment-related activities in manufacturing engineering. You will support engineering tasks, develop line equipment criteria, and ensure process quality for mass production.

Responsibilities include leading 5-Why/8D problem solving, managing CAPA, and implementing PM/PdM programs to boost uptime, MTTR, MTBF, and yield, while upholding EH&S standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, project management, and clear technical communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with backend equipment (PnP, AVI, AOI, EOL, Laser ablation, Glue Dispense, SMT LED Attach, etc.).
• Solid understanding of reliability engineering metrics (MTTR, MTBA, MTBF) and equipment data tracking.
• Proficiency in PLC programming & system management (Keyence KV-X series, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Omron, etc.).
• Able to read & understand Electrical, Mechanical & PLC diagrams.
• Ability to lead a team of AEs in troubleshooting and problem solving.

• Develop equipment engineering requirements and criteria for manufacturing lines to ensure process quality and stability of sustaining products.
• Buy off the equipment and establish maintenance intervals for mass production readiness.
• Lead structured problem-solving using 5-Why analysis and 8D methodologies.
• Own the CAPA process to track, execute, and validate long-term engineering fixes.
• Develop, implement, and optimize Preventive (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Repair & Maintenance guidance.
• Monitor and drive continuous improvement on MTTR, MTBA, MTBF, OEE, and yield.
• Drive CIP solutions to improve equipment uptime and throughput while complying with EH&S requirements.

Who You Are:

Position Summary:

What You Will Do:

• Drive engineering solutions (CIP) to improve equipment uptime, throughput, OEE, and yield.at above the required targets.
• Complies with environment, security, health and safety requirements.

What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications):

• 3-5years’experience in manufacturing environment
