Job summary

Lumileds Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking Maintenance Technician I/II to operate and maintain production machinery for SMT, wire bond, die attach, pick-and-place and laser cut processes. You will troubleshoot, calibrate, and perform routine PM to ensure quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of semiconductor equipment experience and a Diploma in engineering or related field, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years working experience in semiconductor machine troubleshooting, maintenance, quality and safety control.
• Diploma in Engineering or related field is required.
• Field of Study: Any engineering with related field.

Who You Are:

Maintenance Technician I / II – Equipment Engineering Group

Position Summary:

Maintenance Technician I / II (EOL) responsible for all machine and tool in production include Sawing room.
Experience with STAR, Panel Tester, AOQC, Sawing, Mounter, Pick and Reel process.

Maintenance Technician I / II (FOL) responsible for all machine and tool in production include NPI.

Experience with SMT, Wire Bond, Die Attach & Pick and Place & Laser cut process.

What You Will Do:

Operate machine and production equipment.

Perform routine maintenance, calibration, set-up, initialize, machine conversion and 6S AND routine preventive maintenance.

Enhance of PM procedures.

Monitor production processes and product quality.

Spare part control and cost saving project.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or process related issues.

Perform machine repair and verify functionality of modules.

Ensure and build in safety ergonomic factor into existing equipment.

Optimizes equipment reliability and improvements.

Reliable and careful to complete task given without fail with compliant to EHS procedure.

Full participation in improving Product/ Process Yields, Safety, Quality and Environment & Equipment.

Punctually return from break time and to work with good attendance including OT support when required.

Good attitude towards superiors, associated engineers and team members with good teamwork.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instruction.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality personnel.

What You Will Bring (RequiredQualifications):

Minimum 3-5 years working experience in semiconductor machine troubleshooting, maintenance, quality and safety control.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
