Job summary

Lumileds Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Equipment Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing team. You will install, qualify, maintain and continuously improve production equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations and compliance with ISO standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of hands-on experience in equipment or process engineering within high-precision environments, with strong knowledge of MTBF/PM, OEE and problem-solving skills for shop floor improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Chemical Engineering.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
• Initiative and able to work under minimum supervision.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, qualify, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and compliant production.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for equipment downtime.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Process Engineering and suppliers to optimize equipment reliability and throughput.
• Support cross-plant equipment transfers and new equipment buyoffs/setup.
• Coordinate training for technicians and provide technical advice for troubleshooting.
