Job summary

Talent Trader Group Pte Ltd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end project execution for automation and equipment manufacturing. You will prepare proposals, manage purchase orders, organize milestone reviews, and serve as the main customer contact.

You will lead project teams, coordinate design and build activities, develop resource plans, manage risks and changes, document lessons learned, and support international travel as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of project management experience, preferably within the automation or equipment manufacturing industry.
• Project management certification such as CAPM, PMP, or PRINCE2 is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end project execution, including the preparation and presentation of initial commercial and technical proposals.
• Review and acknowledge customer purchase orders, ensuring all project activities align with agreed proposal terms and conditions.
• Organize project milestone reviews and facilitate internal and customer kickoff meetings.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely updates on project progress and key developments.
• Lead regular project team meetings to review milestones, address challenges, and ensure deliverables remain on track.
• Supervise and coordinate design and build activities to ensure projects are completed according to the established schedule.
• Develop resource plans and manage the allocation of personnel, materials, and other resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential risks and project constraints, assess their impact, and work with relevant stakeholders to implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Facilitate customer discussions and prepare meeting minutes, action plans, and decision records to ensure clear communication and accountability.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation
• Manage project scope and contractual revisions through formal change notification processes, ensuring all changes are properly documented.
• Lead project closure reviews to evaluate outcomes, document lessons learned, and recognize key achievements.
• Undertake domestic and international business travel as required.
