Job summary

AFRY is seeking a senior power systems engineer to lead grid studies from Kuala Lumpur, leveraging PSS/E and DIgSILENT PowerFactory. You'll work with utilities and developers on solar, wind, BESS, and HVDC projects across APAC, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s in electrical engineering with 8–10+ years in power system studies, especially in grid connections and transmission planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering with a focus on power systems.
• 8–10+ years of experience in power system studies, globally or locally.
• Experience with grid connection, transmission planning, or renewable integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead power system studies execution from concept to report.
• Develop, tune, and validate dynamic models for grid studies.
• Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure technical quality.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive study delivery under tight deadlines.
