Job summary

AFRY in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Power System Engineer to lead steady-state and RMS studies for APAC projects, including grid connection and renewable integration. You will work with PSS\u00a0E or DIgSILENT, define study assumptions, and interpret results to propose mitigations.

You will develop and validate dynamic models, manage complex technical assessments, and coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure high-quality study deliverables.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (Power Systems or Power System Study).
• Typically 8-10+ years of experience in power system studies, globally or in Malaysia.
• Experience with grid connection, transmission planning, or renewable integration studies.

Responsibilities

• Perform steady-state and dynamic power system studies across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
• Develop and maintain network models using PSS\u00a0E and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
• Lead study tasks and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
