Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking a Power Systems Study Engineer (PSS) to ensure the technical viability of utility-scale solar and BESS projects. You will conduct comprehensive simulations, perform stability analysis, manage harmonic quality, and utilize industry-standard tools. Candidates must have a Bachelors or Masters in Electrical Engineering with a strong focus on Power Systems and proven experience in grid impact studies for large-scale solar projects in Malaysia.
Qualifications
Proven experience in performing Grid Impact Studies for Large Scale Solar (LSS) or CRESS projects in Malaysia.
Advanced proficiency in PSS/E or DIgSILENT is mandatory.
Deep understanding of Malaysian Grid Code and GSO requirements.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive simulations including Load Flow, Short Circuit and Contingency Analysis.
Perform Transient Stability analysis to ensure the plant remains stable during grid disturbances.
Model and mitigate harmonic injections to meet TNB's stringent power quality standards.
Utilize industry-standard tools like PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory or ETAP.
Prepare and submit technical reports for interconnection applications.
