Job summary

Asialink Cargo & Packing Agency Sdn Bhd is seeking a Workshop Manager for a busy commercial vehicle workshop focusing on lorries and heavy trucks. You will lead technicians, oversee servicing, repairs, and inspections, and manage workshop costs and safety compliance.

The role requires solid leadership, strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems, and the ability to optimize workflow and customer communications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle/truck workshop experience required.
• Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle systems and diagnostics.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating workshop operations.
• Familiarity with safety, health and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the vehicle technician team and oversee workshop workflow.
• Allocate repair and service jobs for trucks and trailers; plan workloads and prioritize breakdowns.
• Review job sheets; estimate labour and parts costs; track vehicles from booking to handover.
• Ensure safety standards, regulatory compliance and incident prevention.
• Monitor KPIs: productivity, cycle time, waste and profitability.
• Communicate progress to fleet managers and customers; manage vendor relationships.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop and control stock of parts and consumables.
