Job summary

Transcontinental R&D (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Senior Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Technician to join our fleet maintenance team. You will perform complex diagnostics, major overhaul repairs, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections across a diverse fleet of heavy vehicles, including diesel trucks, buses, and construction machinery.

The role also involves mentoring junior apprentices, maintaining detailed maintenance logs, and ensuring compliance with transport safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years hands-on experience with heavy transport vehicles or equipment.
• Certification: Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or CVL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced computer diagnostics and electrical/hydraulic troubleshooting on heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Carry out major mechanical repairs and overhauls on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions and steering components.
• Execute regular preventative maintenance and safety inspections to ensure compliance.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify structural components as required for fleet needs.
• Mentor junior mechanics and apprentices to promote safe workshop practices.
