Job summary

Affin is seeking a Lead, Cloud & Platform Services to guide the bank's cloud and infrastructure platforms. You will ensure availability, security, performance, and regulatory compliance while driving modernization, automation, and cost optimization. You will oversee cloud services, virtualization, and platform operations with a focus on service excellence.

The role requires 5–8 years in cloud/infra, strong vendor management, and leadership skills. Banking industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of Cloud/Infrastructure/Platform Operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP and virtualization.
• Experience in cloud migration, automation, and service management.
• Familiarity with ITIL, DR/BC and risk management.
• Experience in vendor management, budgets, contracts and cloud cost optimization.

The role oversees cloud services, server infrastructure, virtualization platforms and platform operations while driving modernization, automation, cost optimization, and service excellence initiatives. **JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES** **Cloud & Platform Operations*** Lead the administration and support of enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms.* Ensure 24x7 availability of critical services through proactive monitoring and incident management.* Define and maintain platform standards, operational procedures, and service-level objectives.* Ensure cloud governance, cost optimization, resource utilization, and security compliance.* Drive cloud adoption initiatives, migration projects, and modernization programs.**Financial & Vendor Management*** Manage platform-related budgets and operational expenditures.* Identify opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization.* Monitor cloud consumption and support FinOps initiatives.* Manage vendor contracts, licensing, renewals, and service performance. These activities are consistent with internal cloud operations and FinOps governance practices.**Service Reliability & Operational Excellence*** Lead incident, problem, and change management activities.* Drive root cause analysis and implementation of permanent corrective actions.* Establish operational dashboards, service performance reporting, and continuous improvement programs.* Ensure platform resilience through disaster recovery and business continuity readiness.**Security, Risk & Compliance*** Ensure compliance with internal policies, cybersecurity standards, audit requirements, and regulatory obligations.* Coordinate vulnerability remediation, security hardening, and risk mitigation activities.* Support regulatory reviews, audits, technology risk assessments, and governance initiatives. **JOB REQUIREMENTS*** Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.* Minimum 5 - 8 years of experience in Cloud, Infrastructure, Platform Operations, or IT Services.* Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), virtualization, server infrastructure, and platform operations.* Experience in cloud migration, automation, service management, and operational support within a highly available environment.* Familiarity with ITIL practices, disaster recovery, business continuity, and technology risk management.* Experience in managing technology vendors, budgets, contracts, and cloud cost optimization initiatives.* Strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.* Experience in the banking or financial services industry is an added advantage.
