Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional bakery or pastry experience
• Formal training in baking or pastry (diploma or certification)
• Knowledge of baking techniques, fermentation, dough handling and temperature control
• Proficiency with commercial bakery equipment and ovens
• Strong organisational and time management, leadership and communication abilities
• Understanding of food safety and HACCP principles

Responsibilities

• Oversee bakery production—bread, pastries, cakes and other items
• Prepare, portion and bake dough and batter products to recipes
• Manage bakery ingredients inventory and stock, minimise waste
• Train and supervise junior bakery staff and kitchen hands
• Ensure health & safety compliance in storage and handling
• Assist in menu development and seasonal items
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of bakery station
• Collaborate with kitchen to support service excellence
• Quality check finished baked goods for appearance and taste
