Job summary

Premium Sound Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives across production lines in Malaysia. You will design and implement automation concepts, participate in FAT/SAT/ER activities, and push for continuous improvements in uptime and productivity.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, proficiency in PLC programming, CAD design, and strong teamwork across Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field required.
Minimum 5 years of automation engineering experience in manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of electrical/electronic systems, control panels, pneumatics, and robotics.
Experience with PLCs (Omron, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc.) and CAD design.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with GPE and suppliers to develop automation concepts and jig designs.
Support FAT, SAT, and ER for new jigs and equipment.
Lead automation setup, commissioning, and continuous improvement activities.
Develop SOPs and training for maintenance teams.
Define spare parts and inventory requirements; monitor KPIs and OEE.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and CAPA implementations.
