Job summary

ACTMAX SDN. BHD. is seeking an Automation Engineer (Design) in Malaysia to design, develop, and implement automated systems and control solutions across manufacturing environments.

You will work on PLC, HMI, SCADA, motion control, and robotics; prepare electrical schematics and control-panel layouts; and integrate equipment with existing lines. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation, machine design, controls engineering, or manufacturing.
• Strong experience in PLC programming and industrial control systems.
• Experience designing electrical/control systems and automation solutions.
• Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of industrial automation components and control technologies.
• PLC experience with Siemens, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Omron, or similar.
• HMI/SCADA experience with Siemens WinCC, FactoryTalk, Ignition, or similar.
• Experience with servo and motion control systems, VFDs, and industrial robots and vision systems.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, and IO-Link.

Responsibilities

• Design automation systems, machine controls, and electrical/control architectures.
• Develop PLC, HMI, SCADA, motion control, and robotic solutions.
• Prepare electrical schematics, control-panel layouts, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and documentation.
• Select PLCs, sensors, motors, drives, actuators, safety devices, and other components.
• Develop and modify PLC and HMI programs based on machine and process requirements.
• Design control panels and electrical systems per standards and company requirements.
• Integrate automation equipment with existing production lines and manufacturing systems.
• Conduct design calculations, risk assessments, and technical evaluations.
• Perform simulation, testing, commissioning, and debugging of automation systems.
• Work closely with mechanical, electrical, process, production, and maintenance teams.
