Job summary

KPJ Healthcare Berhad is seeking a nursing leader to oversee organization and management across units, ensuring high-quality maternal and newborn care, adherence to standards, and effective bed management within a regional hospital in Malaysia.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with the Unit Manager, and participate in HR development, safety and quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Leadership and supervision of nursing staff
• Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety
• Experience in maternity/newborn care is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Adhere to nursing care vision and shift duties.
• Handover reports and ensure doctor orders are followed.
• Visit patients with team to reassess care priorities.
• Provide newborn and maternity care with accurate documentation.
• Supervise labor progress and assist in procedures.
• Coordinate with the unit manager to ensure bed management.
• Maintain/inspect sterile supply and equipment.
• Participate in health education and unit meetings.
• Contribute to quality improvement and incident reporting.
• Support safety programs and infection control.
