Job summary

KPJ Kluang Specialist Hospital is seeking an experienced nurse to supervise our allocated unit and deliver high-quality maternal and newborn care. You will coordinate care, fill shifts, and communicate with the Unit Manager about incidents and patient progress.

The role requires a registered nurse with an advanced diploma in midwifery, leadership, and strong communication skills to support families and staff in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Registered with the Nursing Board of Malaysia with a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Advanced Diploma in Midwifery and knowledge of maternity care.
• Proven clinical experience with diverse patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to nursing care vision, mission, goals and ensure shift duties are covered.
• Provide professional nursing care to patients and communicate with the Unit Manager about incidents.
• Visit patients with team members to assess conditions and re-plan nursing care.
• Guide new mothers on self-care, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postnatal education.
• Coordinate with the team to execute doctor's orders and ensure bed management efficiency.
• Participate in safety, infection control, and quality improvement activities.
