Job summary

INSUT (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Laboratory Operator in Kulai, Johor to perform dimensional inspection based on drawings, control plans and customer requirements. You will use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, CMM and OMM equipment to ensure measurements are accurate and recorded in measurement reports and SPC sheets.

You will inspect setup, IPQC and OQC samples, register approvals and assist in calibration verification while maintaining measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspection based on drawings, control plan and customer requirements.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, CMM and OMM equipment for measurements.
• Record inspection data in measurement reports, SPC sheets or Excel files.
• Inspect samples (setup, IPQC, OQC) and register approvals in Sample Master List.
• Maintain measuring instruments and assist calibration verification.
• Adhere to lab safety, 5S and quality management system requirements.
• Notify Lab In-charge of any abnormalities or measurement issues.

Job description

Perform dimensional inspection based on drawings, control plan and customer requirements

Conducts inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauge, CMM and OMM equipment

Ensure measurements are performed accurately and consistently following standard procedures

Prepare and record inspection data in the measurement report, SPC sheet or designated Excel files as required

Measure setup samples, IPQC samples and OQC samples

Register approval samples, reference or limit samples provided by customers or authorized personnel in the Sample Master List and store them properly in designated cabinets

Conduct reliability and performance tests such as leakage (airtightness), pull/push force, alcohol and abrasion, 3M tape, cross-cut and oven tests as required

Perform colour verification using spectrophotometer and record results accordingly

Support calibration verification and ensure all measuring instruments are properly maintained

Assist in the verification of calibration certificates and fixture conditions before measurement

Fill up daily and weekly maintenance checklist for OMM, CMM, fixtures and jigs

Interpret basic engineering drawings and verify dimensions accordingly

Use Excel to prepare and share measurement reports with relevant departments

Follow all lab safety, 5S and quality managements system requirements

Reports any abnormalities or measurement issues to the Lab In-charge
